Founded by Spencer Young, a Red Seal Journeyman and certified Master Electrician, NorthSide Solar brings over 17 years of electrical and solar experience to every project, with a focus on quality, honesty, and local care.
Spencer is a born-and-raised Edmontonian who’s worked across Alberta on everything from small rooftop systems to major utility-scale installations—including Edmonton’s first Tesla Powerwall 3. Having led projects for respected names like SkyFire Energy, PTW, and CBI Solar, and completed over 60 installs through his own contracting business, he brings deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience to every job.
But more than that, he genuinely cares about what happens to Edmonton homeowners, families, and communities—because this is home. Spencer knows what it means to invest in your property, trust your contractor, and expect a system that performs safely and reliably for years to come.
